After graduating from Appalachian State University in Boone, NC, with a BSBA and a marketing major, I moved to Hilton Head Island in 1988. The experience in Boone provided a solid foundation for understanding resort community living. My career in real estate on Hilton Head Island began as a licensed real estate sales assistant, where I gained invaluable insights under the mentorship of top industry producers.

I later joined the real estate publishing industry, working with Island Real Estate Magazine, a premier publication in the area. Over a 21-year career, I rose to become a partner, learning extensively about marketing and networking within the Island’s real estate sector. My relationships with leading agents on the Island have been instrumental in my ability to negotiate successful deals and complete transactions effectively.

Since obtaining my realtor license in 2012, I’ve been an active member of the Hilton Head Area Association of Realtors. I am honored to currently serve as the treasurer on the board of directors for the association, reflecting my deep commitment to the industry. My dedication to professional development is evident as I chair the Professional Development Committee, organizing bi-monthly seminars aimed at enhancing the skills of local realtors.

Additionally, I hold the esteemed designations of Hilton Head Island Ambassador and Bluffton Ambassador. These roles underscore my deep connection to and expertise within these communities. In 2023, I was recognized as the Rotarian of the Year for the Hilton Head Island Sunset Rotary, an accolade that speaks to my commitment to service and community involvement.

Throughout my career, I’ve been consistently awarded the Realtor Service Award since 2012. I’ve also earned the Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation, the LUXE Luxury Listing Designation, and the EXP Realty Express Offers Certification, further showcasing my diverse skill set and dedication to the field of real estate.
